It’s been two months (almost) since I got married! Although, we had quite a few major (and by major I really mean MAJOR-but I won’t go into detail about it) issues, I am grateful that I have a sovereign God, a God that really makes all things beautiful in His time!
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”- Romans 8:28
I’ve helped plan and coordinate a few weddings over the last years, but planning my own was definitely a growing experience. My sister in-law once said “weddings and funerals bring out the best or worst in people” and boy did that become very real as I started to plan my own wedding. I probably broke down almost every other day (if not every day) in the process but at the same time, these moments made me learn what it really meant to cling to God and put my faith into action especially when faced with challenges. What a beautiful feeling that truly is – to surrender every single aspect of your life and well every minute or large detail that went into my wedding planning.
For those of you who have gotten married, I’m sure you can relate to this! Weddings are stressful! You plan for weeks, months, a year or even longer for one day of your life.
I believe that all weddings are special in their own way and I can say that mine was perfect
and for someone who is somewhat a perfectionist and a control freak, I was able to truly enjoy my wedding day (and even week before wedding) without stress and I owe it all to Him for providing for all our needs and also for surrounding us with people who were there to encourage, support and pray for us during the process!
Here are some of my favorite details from our wedding!
JC and I first met @ Starbucks through a common friend so we wanted to incorporate our story. Our invitations and favors were coffee themed:
